An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
